Collagen Peptides: 10g daily for skin or joints? My first trial

I started taking hydrolyzed collagen peptides about a month ago, 10 g each morning before breakfast. I’m used to reading the science, but SAVE my brain here – I’m just trying to see if the skin and joint stuff actually feels different for me. The first few days, I noticed a bit of bloating – that’s normal.
The taste is kinda off, like a chalky cereal, but I just blended it into my coffee. After a week, my knees felt a touch less stiff in the mornings. I’m not doing any heavy lifting, just the usual walk around town, but I felt less achy at the end of the day.
The skin? I’ve been slathering on a moisturizer every night, but I’ve seen a faint lift around my cheeks – not dramatic, just a little more bounce. I’m hitting the upper end of the 5‑15 g range.
Y’all any idea how to tweak that? Maybe judges the timing or pairing with a protein shake? Let me know how you’ve been crushing it.
