First Week on Met چه Bix – Energy, Sleep, and the Slight Metallic Taste

Not gonna lie, I've just started 500 mg of metformin daily and have been tracking my energy and sleep. The first couple of days I felt a bit off, and later I noticed a faint metallic taste that lingers when I drink water. I’m not sure if that’s normal or just my body adjusting.
In the evenings I’ve been falling asleep a bit earlier, and the first night I woke up feeling a little more refreshed than usual. The idea that metformin activates AMPK and mimics caloric restriction has me curious – I read that it can improve mitochondrial function and even boost autoph ýa. However, I’m watching my B12 levels and doing a simple blood test after a month.
I’ve also been keeping a log of my meals and any GI upset, because we know that’s a common side effect, and I want to see if it settles down or if I need to split the dose into morning and evening. If anyoneaville has started metformin and has noticed similar changes, I’d love to hear what happened for you.
