My first month on low‑dose weekly rapamycin – what I’ve noticed so far

Hey folks, tbh I’ve been curious about rapamycin for a while after reading a few posts about its mTOR‑inhibiting effects. I finally decided to try a low‑dose weekly schedule (4 mg on Sunday) about six weeks ago, using the typical 3‑6 mg range that shows up in the protocol notes. I’m a grad student on the West Coast, juggling lab work and a couple of bike rides each weekend, so I was hoping for a subtle boost in recovery and maybe a little extra energy without feeling “on drugs”.
For me the biggest change has been how quickly my legs feel ready after a long ride. Previously I’d need a full day of rest to get back to normal, but now I’m noticing a smoother transition the next morning – maybe just a placebo, but it feels real. My sleep has been a bit deeper; I tend to stay in the same sleep stage longer, and I wake up feeling less groggy. I haven’t seen any mouth sores or GI issues yet, and my lipid panel from a recent check‑up was unchanged.
I’m still tracking my blood work and keeping an eye on any side effects. Has anyone else seen similar recovery benefits or noticed anything else I should watch for? I’m open to tweaking the dose or timing based on what you’ve learned.
