Thoughts on the Performance Stack – Do the claims hold water?

I just stumbled across the Performance Stack page on ResearchSafe (/peptides/performance-stack) and, as someone who’s just getting into peptide stacking, it blew my mind. The stack brands itself as the “most potent muscle‑growth and athletic performance stack” by mixing a myostatin inhibitor, IGF‑1 LR3, MGF, and a GH‑supporting peptide. For me the idea of pulling all that together sounds great – I’ve seen the hype around IGF‑1 LR3 alone: a 2‑3× higher half‑life than native IGF‑1, a 20‑30‑hour duration, and a clear anabolic signal through PI3K/Akt/mTOR.

Adding follistatin to block rooted myostatin seemed like a logical boost, and MGF keeping satellite cells ready feels like a smart tweak. But the page also warns about joint discomfort, hypoglycaemia risk, and water retention – traits that have bothered me with other growth‑factor protocols. I’m keen to hear from anyone who’s actually used this combo.

Did you notice real strength gains or mainly the side‑effects? How did you manage the joint pains? I’m sceptical that the lofty gains might be offset by those aches, but I’m curious if anyone’s brain‑wave is different.

  • kayla_s: I’ve actually tinkered with a similar mix a while back, mostly IGF‑1 LR3 and a low dose of a myostatin blocker, but the MGF bit was new to me. The gains were there, maybe a 5‑10% lift in my 1RM after a month, but the joint aches kept me up at night and the “water weight” was stubborn. I kept the doses split into two smaller shots a day and took a magnesium supplement to help the muscles. Did anyone else try a split dosing schedule, or did you use anything to blunt the water retention?
