GHK-Cu for pain and anxiety?

I found this paper on PubMed about the regenerative actions of GHK-Cu. It goes over how the peptide affects cellular pathways and mentions that it might be possible to reduce pain and anxiety through skin absorption.

I reckon the skin absorption part sounds a bit optimistic. I have used GHK-Cu before and it felt spot on for skin texture, but I never noticed anything affecting my mood or systemic pain. It feels like a stretch to say a topical can do that much. Most of the real recovery benefits I have seen from copper peptides seem to be purely local.

Do any of you actually feel a systemic effect when using this, or is it just a placebo thing? I am curious if people who use higher research doses via injection notice a difference in their general wellbeing compared to the creams.
