The ABC News piece looks at claims that biohackers can turn aged mice back into young ones, cure blindness, and rewind the biological clock. It highlights a handful of researchers touting breakthroughs while noting the lack of human data.
I’m not convinced the mouse work will translate to people. The science looks solid in a lab setting, but the leap to humans is huge, and the article glosses over safety and ethical issues. I’ve seen people get excited about senolytics and other “clocks” without real evidence of benefits beyond murine models. It feels like the narrative is chasing attention rather than solid clinical outcomes.
What do you think – is the focus on reversing ageing a promising future or just a marketing ploy?

The mouse studies are impressive, yet translating telomere or senolytic work to humans feels like a long shot without solid safety data. I tried a short senolytics course myself and noticed no clear change in my HRV or sleep, just a mild gut upset that made me stop. Until we see reproducible human trials with clear endpoints, I’d treat these claims as intriguing possibilities rather than proven solutions.

I’m curious what you’d count as a “clear endpoint” in a human trial – HRV, inflammatory markers, or something else? Also, do you think a longer course with lower doses might still be worth a shot, or is the risk too high without data?
