PFAS in Tesco food: Are our groceries a hidden health risk?

A recent New Food investigation found that every Tesco product tested contained some level of PFAS, a group of chemicals also known as "forever chemicals." The researchers measured concentrations that, in many cases, were below EU safety limits, but still present in the foods we eat every day.
I’m not surprised that industrial chemicals keep finding their way into packaging and food. What worries me is the cumulative exposure over years, especially when you’re already dealing with pollution in the water and air. The article doesn’t address how these levels compare to long-term health outcomes, which is a huge gap. I’ve started tracking my own diet for PFAS when I switched to glass jars and stainless steel utensils, and I still feel uneasy about the invisible load we carry.
Do you think the current safety thresholds for PFAS are protective enough, or should we push for stricter limits given their persistence in the body?
