Doctors warn about nausea, pancreatitis risk in peptide injections

The AMA piece explains that people can get upset stomachs, diarrhoea or constipation, and that there is a real risk of pancreatitis with peptide injections. It also notes that doctors should discuss the full risk profile before patients start.
I’m sceptical that the article gives a full picture. It mentions pancreatitis but doesn’t quantify how often it happens or compare it to other GLP‑1 drugs like semaglutide. In my own trials of a low‑dose GLP‑1 analogue, I’ve had nausea and a mild stomach ache, but no pancreatitis. The article says “some users feel nauseous,” but doesn’t say whether it’s dose‑dependent or linked to injection technique. It also leaves out Verhalten: how pre‑existing conditions (like gallstones) can amplify the risk. There’s no discussion of how to mitigate these GI side effects, such as staggered dosing or taking with food.
Given the mention of pancreatitis, should we be monitoring lipid panels or bilirubin before and during therapy, or is that overkill? What real‑world data do you have on the incidence of pancreatitis in peptide users?
