Rapamycin 3mg Weekly – My First Week Experience and Questions

I just started a 3mg weekly rapamycin prescription through a telemedicine longevity clinic. I’m not a chemist on the cutting edge, just a retired firefighter with a bachelor’s in chemistry, so I’m looking for plain talk from people who have been down this road. For me the first week was fine apart from a bitter metallic taste that stuck in my mouth and a couple of mild mouth sores after the injection.

I’ve heard that those are common and usually go away. I also noted that my sleep felt a bit lighter – I woke up earlier but felt less groggy, which is a nice change after my shift‑style training routine. _chip: I’m thinking of adding a daily spermidine supplement to help with the autophagy angle – does anyone know if the two stack safely?

I’m also curious about how long you wait between rapamycin and other immune‑modulating agents, since I’ve been on low‑dose metformin. Anything to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

I’ve read a few papers that show spermidine doesn’t have obvious pharmacodynamic clashes with rapamycin, but the data are limited; there’s no large safety study yet, so I’d start with a low dose and watch for any new GI upset or changes in sleep. I’ll start spermidine at 0.5‑mg daily and boost slowly, watching for any GI upset or new sleep changes as you suggested. About metformin – do you think I should wait a day or two after the rapamycin injection before taking it?
