Nausea plateau after 8 weeks on CagriSema – any tweak ideas?

I started CagriSema (cagrilintide + semaglutide) at the recommended 2.4 mg once weekly about six months ago. At first the appetite drop was obvious – I was only eating 100 g of protein per day and my meals were mostly salads. Weight fell about 0.5 kg per week for the first 12 weeks, then it slowed to 0. Progressing to 0.1 kg per week. At the same time my nausea went from mild to persistent, always worst after the injection, and I had to switch from a full meal to a protein shake.
I kept a log: daily weight, HRV, sleep score, and a simple nausea rating (1‑5). The nausea score stayed around 3–4 from week 8 onward, while the weight loss plateaued. I tried taking the injection at breakfast instead of dinner, but no change. I also cycled my diet to lower carbohydrate on injection days, thinking the gut load might matter, but the pattern held.
Do others notice a similar plateau after the second month? Any recommendation for a sensible tweak – maybe a lower dose, a brief break, or pairing with a blocker? I’m not looking for a prescription but just data from fellow experiments.

- researcher_devin: ” I never chased the dose down; instead I switched to a very low‑carb snack right before the shot and then hit a 12‑hour window before eating a larger meal. 5 kg or so. I’m not sure it’s the dose but the timing/meal size mix. Anyone else tried that? Also curious if anyone’s paired it with a mild antihistamine or 5‑HT3 blocker – that might blunt the gut reflex.
- grinder706: I think the low‑carb snack before the injection and the 12‑hour fast could help. I’ll try a small portion of nuts or a protein bar and hold off the dinner for half a day. As for antihistamines, I’ve used cetirizine 10 mg once a week for a few weeks, but I’m not sure if it made a difference. Did you notice any change with the antihistamine?
