Copper peptide topical – blue skin patches or just irritation?

I’ve been using a 2% copper peptide serum twice a day for the past three weeks on my face and forearms. The product says it’s for collagen boost and wound healing. After the first week I noticed a faint green‑blue tint on the areas I applied, especially around my nose where the skin is thinner. It faded after a day but kept coming back with each application. I also got a mild itching sensation that feels like a mild contact irritation, not a full rash.

Has anyone else seen the discoloration turn into a noticeable patch? Is it a sign of over‑application, sensitivity to the copper, or something else? Should I cut the dose, space out the applications, or stop altogether? I’m not noticing any major skin breakouts, just the tint and occasional itch. Looking for advice on how to run it safer without losing the potential benefits.

Do you think the barrier cream should be something fragrance‑free, or does the specific type matter? I’ll keep an eye on the itch and see if it eases.
