Oxandrolone 20mg daily: HDL drop and liver stress – how should I monitor it?

I just finished a 12‑week cycle of Oxandrolone 20 mg split twice daily for lean muscle gain, and I noticed my HDL fell from 60 mg/dl to about 45 mg/dl after the first six weeks, while my LDL climbed a few points even though I kept my fat intake low. I also got a mild rise in liver enzymes (ALT up to 45 U/L). I’ve read that Oxandrolone can cause lipid disruption and mild liver stress, but I’m not sure how to gauge when the drop is reversible or if I should add a statin.

I’ve done baseline TSH, fasting lipids, and a liver panel before starting, but I'm not sure how often to re-check during the cycle. Do others monitor liver function every four weeks or just at the end? Would lower the dose or split differently lessen the HDL dip?

I’m also wondering if pairing it with an NAC supplement helps with liver load, but profundo. Anyone has a protocol for safe lipid and liver monitoring while on Oxandrolone?
