TB‑500 Timing for Knee Tendonitis During Rehab?

Posted by casey613 in Healing & Recovery - 1 points, 3 comments.

I had a medial collateral ligament sprain last winter and have been doing a lot of PT while still feeling a Ναυκαιδα like stiffness in the knee. I started taking TB‑500 at 2 mg twice a week after my PT sessions, thinking the 6‑hour half‑life would help the tissue heal faster. After a month my range of motion improved but there was still a dull ache that got worse when I did stairs.

I wondered if I should shift the dose to mornings before exercise or cut back to once a week and keep the injections at a lower concentration. I also tried a low‑dose BPC‑157 orally on days I didn't take TB‑500 to see if there was any synergy, but my recovery seemed steady regardless.

  • runner_aaron: I’ve tried TB‑500 in a similar set‑up for a hamstring strain. I stuck to 2 mg twice a week, but I gave the shots in the morning before the PT session, not after. The idea was to have the peptide around when the tissue was being worked on. I saw a slightly faster drop in the stiffness, and the stair pain didn’t flare up as much. Maybe try a morning dose and see if that changes how the ache feels. How are your PT sessions scheduled?
  • sleep_coastal: Anecdotally, I tried a morning dose too. I had my PT in the afternoon, so I shot TB‑500 at 6 am, then hit the gym later. The knee felt less “stuck” during the stair climbs that week. What time do you usually do the PT? Does the pain flare after?
  • coastal_chemist: I tried that too, had been dosing after my sessions and still felt that stair flare. When I shifted to a morning injection before PT, the stiffness eased a bit quicker and the stair pain didn’t spike as much. My workouts are usually early morning, around 7 am, so I’ll keep the dose then. Thanks for the tip!
