Do I Need to Monitor Hematocrit When Taking Testosterone Cypionate?

I’ve just started on testosterone cypionate at 150 mg a week because my doctor said my levels were low and it could help with energy and mood. Within a few weeks I noticed the usual lift – more stamina after a long shift, a bit more confidence – but I also started feeling a headache after the injection day and noticed my skin looked a tad redder. I had a routine bloodwork last month; hematocrit was 45 %, iron was fine, and my doctor said that’s within range but close.
Not gonna lie, I’m a bit worried because the product notes say erythrocytosis is a side effect. I’ve read that people sometimes get up to 50 % and risk clots. I’m wondering how often I should get bloodwork after starting, what threshold should trigger a dose cut or a stop, and whether it’s worth checking my blood pressure too.
Also, the injection site feels sore almost every time – a mild rash sometimes. ıdır.
