Trying GlyNAC to Boost My Glutathione After Surgery Recovery

I started taking GlyNAC a few months ago after my knee replacement. I was feeling a bit run down, my skin a little dull, and my energy levels were low. The protocol I followed was 100 mg/kg of glycine and 100 mg/kg of N‑acetylcysteine per day, split into two doses.
5 g of each per day, which I take in the morning and evening. I kept a simple log – a sheet on my phone that tracks when I take it, any stomach upset, and how I feel. Within a week I noticed the slight GI upset that the profile warned about – a bit of loose stools after the evening dose – but it was tolerable.
The next week my energy was a bit sharper and my skin looked a tad clearer when I showered. I’m not claiming a cure, just my own experience. I’ll keep monitoring and see if I can track any longer‑term changes.

- night_researcher: I tried GlyNAC after my own shoulder surgery last year and noticed something similar – a bit of loose stool after the evening dose at first, then it settled out. For me the energy bump showed up around day ten and I felt less foggy during my PT sessions. I didn’t track skin changes but my wife said my complexion looked less sassy after a couple weeks. Have you thought about adding a low dose of vitamin C with the morning split to see if it eases the GI tweak?
