Copper peptide topical skin irritation – how to reduce it?

Posted by grinder265 in Safety & Side Effects - 1 points, 0 comments.

I started using aenance 2‑% copper‑peptide cream on my cheeks after a long 100‑mile run Tamb 5 a week. For the first few sessions I noticed a faint green‑blue stain that lasted a day or two and mild redness around the application area. I was pretty sure it was normal because the product docs say “green‑blue discoloration if over‑used.” But the irritation persisted, especially near my temple where I have sensitive skin. I'm wondering if this is a typical contact sensitivity with copper‑peptide complexes or if there’s something I’m missing.

Also, I’ve been layering it with a retinoid serum for anti‑aging. Could the retinoid be amplifying the irritation? Do you recommend a patch test first or maybe reducing the copper‑peptide to 1‑%? And should I watch for any systemic copper absorption signs? Any tips on how to keep the beneficial effects while minimizing the rash would be great.
