BPC‑157 oral timing for hamstring tear recovery – what works best?

I tore my right hamstring during a 10‑km run last month and have been cycling and doing low‑impact rehab since then. I picked up oral BPC‑157 because it’s easier than injections and the vendor list at my local pharmacy said it can help with tendon healing. I started at 500 mcg twice daily, one dose right before bed and one after breakfast.

After a week I felt the soreness a bit less, but my range of motion still lagged. I’m wondering if splitting the dose around the workout or meal cycle makes a difference. I’ve read that the oral formulation has a ~4‑hour half‑life and can up‑regulate VEGF, so maybe taking a second dose just after my strength session would give the tendon a bigger boost.

Has anyone tried a 3‑point split, morning, post‑workout, evening, or used a higher dose up to 1 mg? Also curious about any side effects I should watch for, like mild nausea or GI discomfort that I’ve heard about in the product notes.
