Any tips on reducing bruising with Pentosan Polysulfate SC injections?

Hey, just now have been mixing the oral 100 mg tds with weekly SC injections for my knee pain. The joint feels a lot better but the injection sites bruise and I’ve had a couple of nosebleeds. No big deal, but it makes me wonder if it’s the dose or something else.

Anyone else notice a similar bleed risk with Pentosan? I’m not on any anticoagulants, just the PPS. I’ve read the bleeding risk from the description, but I’d like to know if we should be checking a full CBC or just watch the bruises.

Also, is there a trick to the injection technique that could reduce bruising? Maybe use a smaller gauge? Or would a lower dose help?

It would be great to hear if anyone has tweaked the dose or schedule and what they saw. Thanks.
