Thinking about adding EDTA chelation to my detox stack – anyone tried it with NAC or glutathione?

I’ve been reading up on EDTA chelation after seeing it mentioned in the detox section and honestly it caught my eye because i work in the ICU and we sometimes see patients with weird metal loads plus i’m a personal trainer so i’m always looking for ways to support recovery and oxidative stress balance i know the typical dose is around 1.5 to 3 grams iv over a few hours weekly or biweekly and the half life is short but i’m wary of the mineral depletion side effects like zinc calcium magnesium so i’ve been thinking about pairing it with nac to help with glutathione synthesis and maybe throw in a bit of reduced glutathione on the side to keep the antioxidant system topped off honestly i’m not planning to go full protocol without blood work first i’d probably start low at 1.5g iv once a week and take nac 600mg twice a day and glutathione 200mg im twice weekly just to see how i feel and monitor my labs for any drops in essential minerals has anyone here tried a similar stack or noticed any particular symptoms when combining these i’d love to hear real world experiences especially if you’ve felt any changes in energy recovery or just general wellbeing and if you’ve done any testing to keep things steady lah.

  • patient_chemist510: 5 g IV once every two weeks, NAC 600 mg twice daily and reduced glutathione 200 mg IM twice a week. I got baseline labs first and repeated them after four sessions. For me the energy felt a bit steadier on training days and I noticed less post‑workout soreness, though that could just be placebo or the NAC glutathione boost. I did see a small dip in serum zinc and magnesium after the third infusion, so I added a low‑dose zinc citrate and magnesium glycinate on off‑days and the levels came back t
  • codes_grinder: 5g weekly to keep it gentler but your zinc/magnesium fix seems smart, did the recovery shift stay consistent after four sessions or did it fade?
