PEG-MGF injection site soreness – any tips to reduce it?

I’ve been trying PEG-MGF for a nagging shoulder impingement that’s lingered since my firefighting days. I’m doing 150 mcg twice a week, subQ in the deltoid area. After the first couple of injections I noticed a pretty noticeable red spot and a dull ache that lasts about a day.
It’s not painful enough to stop me, but it’s annoying and makes me wonder if I’m doing something wrong. Has anyone else run into similar site reactions? I’ve tried rotating to the glute and using a smaller needle, but the redness still pops up.
Would icing the spot right after the injection help, or should I split the dose into smaller amounts and inject more frequently? I haven’t done any bloodwork yet, just going off how I feel, but I’m curious if there’s any known interaction with common NSAIDs like ibuprofen that folks use for the soreness. Any safety tips or harm‑reduction tricks would be appreciated.
