BPC-157 oral – howzit timing with physio for Achilles tightness?

Hey folks, I’ve been dealing with a niggly Achilles tightness after my long runs – nothing torn, just sore and stiff in the mornings. I started oral BPC-157 (arginate salt) at 500mcg twice a day, taking it with water on an empty stomach. I’ve been doing my usual physio routine – eccentric calf drops and soft‑tissue work – three times a week.

For me it seemed like the soreness eased a bit after about ten days, but I can’t tell if that’s the peptide, the physio loading, or just placebo. I’m wondering if anyone has noticed a difference when they dose BPC-157 oral right before versus after a physio session, or if splitting the dose around the workout makes any sense. Would love to hear what’s worked for you lot. TBH I’m still figuring it out.

  • formernico: For what it’s worth I’ve tried a similar split with oral BPC‑157 for calf tightness. I took 250mcg about 30 min before my physio session and the other 250mcg right after, on an empty stomach both times. Over two weeks I noted a slight drop in morning stiffness that felt a bit clearer than when I just dosed twice daily without timing, but my sleep HRV didn’t shift much so it could just be the extra loading. I’m still logging it to see if the pattern holds.
  • runner_aaron: That split sounds lekke. I was just doing the standard twice a day, but timing it around the actual loading might be the way to go. I haven't looked at my HRV at all, so that's an interesting point to track. I'll try the 250mcg before and after my next session and see if the morning stiffness drops more. Do you think taking it that close to the session affects how it feels during the calf drops, tbh?
