Mk-677 timing, before bed or morning? Anyone notice a diff

Ok so ive been running mk-677 solo for about 6 weeks now at 20mg a day, no other peptides stacked with it yet. My main goals are sleep and recovery since my training has been beating me up and my sleep has been trash for months.

I started taking it at night because i read it can make you sleepy and help with deep sleep. Tbh the first 2 weeks i felt like i was sleeping harder but also waking up kinda groggy and puffy, like my face felt swollen in the mornings. Also starving by like 10am which i guess is the ghrelin thing everyone warns about.

This week i tried moving it to right when i wake up instead to see if the morning grogginess goes away. Slept fine last night but now im just hungry all day and kinda dragging by mid afternoon. Is anyone else splitting the dose or found a timing that actually works without the lethargy?

Also curious if adding cjc/ipamorelin at night on top of morning mk would even make sense or just be overkill since mk already raises igf-1 for 24h. Wanna check before i go adding more variables.

  • protocol_lauren: Honestly the morning grogginess on night dosing is super common, its from the water retention messing with sleep quality even when you feel like you slept deeper. For me moving it earlier in the day helped a lot but the hunger is the trade off, ghrelin stays elevated pretty much all day when you dose in the morning, thats just how it works. What worked for me was splitting it, like 10mg when i wake up and 10mg around 4 or 5pm, no dose after 6. Hunger is more spread out and the afternoon drag is
  • sarah50: The water retention thing makes sense tbh, i figured it was just poor sleep quality but i never connected it to the puffiness. Splitting 10 and 10 sounds way better than one big hit, im gonna try that this week. Did you notice any difference in recovery or just the side effects calming down? Also how long did it take for the split to feel normal, like a few days or more like a couple weeks?
  • fasted_scientist: Ngl splitting the dose is a smart workaround, the ghrelin half life is about 6 hours so it kind of makes sense on paper that two smaller hits would flatten the hunger curve. Did you actually notice better sleep on the split compared to just plain morning dosing, or was sleep the same either way? Thats the bit im most curious about since the original poster is chasing sleep not just appetite control.
  • sarah50: Honestly i havent tried splitting yet, thats kinda why i was asking if anyone had. The ghrelin half life thing makes sense tho, 6 hours tracks with when i get hungry on the morning dose so that checks out. I might try like 10mg on wake up and another 10mg around noon tomorrow and see what happens. Ill report back on the sleep thing specifically since thats literally the whole point of me doing this tbh... If the split doesnt tank my sleep im gonna try stacking the cjc/ipam at night like everyon
