GHK-Cu topical + RU-58841 same scalp, anyone seeing irritation stack up?

Been layering GHK-Cu topically alongside RU-58841 on my scalp for a few weeks now, mostly targeting the temples where things have been thinning out. RU by itself felt fine, mild tingle the first week and that was it. Added GHK-Cu in the morning, RU at night, separate applications so nothing is mixing on the skin.
Couple days in i started noticing the scalp getting tighter and kinda dry, especially around the hairline. Not red, not flaking, just that "tight scalp" feeling you get when the barrier is unhappy. By day 10 it was bugging me enough that i skipped a night of RU and it calmed down within 48 hrs. Started back and it crept right back.
Ngl im wondering if the copper is just sitting on the scalp and oxidizing or if RU is somehow keeping it from absorbing properly. Or maybe im just sensitive to one of them and didnt know it til i stacked them.
Anyone else running both and noticing irritation creep up? Curious if spacing them further apart helps or if i should pick one for AM and drop the other for a bit to figure out which one my scalp actually likes.

- weekendnate: Tightness without redness sounds like the barrier is just getting hammered. I've run GHK-Cu on its own and never had that issue, so my guess would be RU is the more irritating of the two and adding anything on top is just pushing the scalp over the edge, even if they're applied hours apart. If I were troubleshooting it I'd drop the GHK-Cu for a week or two first, keep RU at the same frequency, and see if the tightness clears. Then add the copper back alone for a week. That usually tells you whi
- grinder265: Yeah that lines up with what i was suspecting, RU is probably the bigger culprit here since by itself its got that mild tingle thing going on. Doing the drop test makes sense, gonna pull GHK-Cu for a week and keep RU nightly like normal to see if the tightness actually clears. Vehicle is a basic copper peptide serum, nothing fancy, like 2% GHK-Cu in distilled water with a tiny bit of preservative. Nothing that should be reacting with anything.
- fasted_scientist: RU on its own is quite drying for me too, so i reckon you're onto something there. Dropping one at a time is the only way to actually know which one's the culprit, otherwise you're just guessing. Did the OP mention what carrier they're using for the GHK-Cu out of curiosity?
- grinder265: Yeah fair point on the one at a time thing, thats prob my next move. Im using a basic serum carrier for the GHK-Cu, nothing fancy, and the RU is just the standard PG/ethanol mix most people use. So totally diff vehicles which kinda rules out the carrier being the common factor. Leaning toward RU being the drier of the two honestly, might just run GHK solo for a couple weeks and see if the tight feeling stays gone.
