BPC-157 oral vs injectable for an adductor strain, what actually moved the needle for you?

Hey all. Tore my left adductor longus about 5 weeks ago, probably grade 1.5 if I had to guess. Started with just rest and stretching, then brought in oral BPC-157 around week 2 at 500mcg twice a day on an empty stomach. Honestly not sure it did much by itself.

I'm now thinking about adding the injectable form alongside the oral, since I've read the oral is meant to be better for gut stuff anyway and the injectable is where the tendon and soft tissue benefits really come through. If I run both, do people split them AM and PM, or stack them in the same morning window? Also curious if anyone has actually compared oral only vs oral plus injectable for a soft tissue injury like this, not a tendon issue. The healing profile on the site says injectable is stronger for tendon and ligament specifically, which makes me think the oral on its own might just be background noise for a muscle tear.

How long did you run it before the injury stopped dictating your training? I'm back to easy jogging but anything lateral or quick still pulls. Not looking for a protocol, just want to hear what worked for real people who dealt with the same thing.

  • greg208: Mate im really interested in this one because ive been reading up on both routes but havent used either yet, so im proper curious what people say. The bit about oral being more for gut stuff and injectable hitting the soft tissue is what ive come across too, so your logic of running both isnt crazy to me. For what its worth, grade 1.5 at 5 weeks still pulling on lateral stuff sounds pretty normal to me, adductors are notoriously slow because theyre constantly under load just from walking. Would
  • runner_aaron: Howzit. Yeah adductors are a mission, took me forever to trust mine on lateral work last year. From what I've seen running both together seems pretty common, lots of guys split them AM/PM so you're covered round the clock. Did the injectable actually shift things for you, or did oral catch up on its own?
  • tiredmira: Yeah the walking load thing is underrated, basically you're never really offloading it. I used injectable on a similar adductor issue last year and it did seem to speed things up compared to oral alone, but I can't say for sure it wasn't just time catching up. If you do try both, splitting AM/PM made more sense to me than stacking them, just keeps coverage steadier through the day 🥗
