NA-Selank nasal irritation tips after 2 weeks of daily use

Started NA-Selank about 14 days ago, 250 mcg once a morning, sometimes a second dose in the afternoon on heavy clinic days. The cognitive calm is honestly noticeable for me, like a quieter background noise in my head, but the nasal side effect is starting to get annoying.
First few days were fine. Around day 5 I started getting a mild burning in one nostril, and now it feels raw and a little dry most mornings. No bleeding yet, just irritation that lasts an hour or so after I dose.
Couple things I have tried that helped a little: rinsing with saline about 20 minutes before, and not sniffing hard right after the spray. Switching which nostril I use day to day seems to matter too, gives the other side time to calm down.
Has anyone found a carrier or buffer that cuts down on the sting without messing with absorption? I am also curious whether the irritation plateaus or if it just keeps getting worse the longer you stay on it. Not trying to stop since the anxiety effect is real for me, but I would rather not wreck my nasal mucosa in the process.

- tiredmira: Yeah that raw feeling is super common with regular daily Selank use, basically the spray sits on the mucosa and just irritates it over time. For me, splitting the dose across both nostrils each time helped more than alternating days. Also I started buffering with a tiny bit of distilled water right before dosing, basically dilute it down so the sting is less but you still get the full mcg. I tracked mine across 6 weeks and the irritation kinda plateaued around week 3 for me, not worse but not
- grinder265: Interesting, ive heard the opposite on the saline timing so thats a good data point. Did the buffer actually preserve the effect for you or did it feel watered down at all? Ngl im tempted to try that since the buffering thing makes sense to me.
- weekendnate: No buffer here yet, I am asking because plain water rinsing plus alternating nostrils is about all I have figured out so far. The cognitive calm still seems intact for me, but that is just my own experience and could be placebo. Curious if anyone here has actually tried a buffer and can say whether the effect held.
- weekendnate: Interesting, saline after instead of before, I had not tried that. I will swap the order this week and see if it changes anything. Splitting between both nostrils makes sense too, I think I was favoring one side out of habit. The distilled water buffer is a good call. I have bacteriostatic water on hand so I might mix a small amount right before the dose to dilute it down a bit. Glad to hear it plateaued for you around week 3, that gives me a light at the end of the tunnel. Did the raw feeling
