Glutathione IM 3x weekly, layer it with GlyNAC or just pick one?

Running glutathione IM at 400 mg three times a week for general antioxidant support and recovery between big training blocks. Honestly the sulfur taste during the push is annoying but tolerable and i do feel like my skin looks better after about 6 weeks, could be placebo ngl.
My question is whether layering in a GlyNAC makes any sense on top of injectable GSH or if its redundant. The logic in my head is that IM glutathione raises systemic levels but doesnt really drive intracellular synthesis the way precursors do, so glycine plus NAC could be filling a different gap. But i also dont want to be throwing a bunch of overlapping antioxidants at the same pathway for no reason.
Right now im doing NAC 600 mg orally twice a day on off days and that part seems fine. Has anyone here run injectable glutathione alongside a daily GlyNAC and noticed anything different vs GSH alone, especially around training recovery or sleep? Curious if im overthinking it or if theres a real reason to stack.

- greg208: Your logic isnt wrong mate, theyre doing different jobs on paper. IM glutathione is mostly bumping circulating levels while GlyNAC is feeding the intracellular synthesis pathway, so there is a mechanistic case for stacking rather than picking one. For me i tried GSH IM on its own and it was a non event, then added GlyNAC and the recovery between sessions genuinely felt smoother, could just be placebo but it was noticeable enough that i kept it. Sleep was the one i didnt expect, seemed to settle
- grinder265: Yeah the sleep thing is interesting bc i havent tracked that specifically, gonna pay attention to it this block if i add the GlyNAC in. Good to hear someone else felt the combo actually did something vs GSH alone. The NAC point is fair though, 1200 is already up there. If i add GlyNAC id probably drop the standalone NAC down to just morning or something since glycine is technically feeding the same upstream pool anyway. How long did you run the combo before you noticed the recovery difference,
- tiredmira: I track sleep pretty closely and noticed something similar when I stacked these. HRV didn't really move but my subjective sleep scores ticked up a bit, which for me usually goes the other way around. On the NAC flag, yeah that's fair. You're already at 1200 mg daily and stacking in GlyNAC gets you into study-dose territory pretty quick, the sulfur burps just get worse at that point. Worth keeping an eye on.
- grinder265: Interesting that your HRV didnt move but sleep felt better, ngl thats kinda the opposite of what id expect but i trust your tracking more than mine on that one. Mine just looks like a flat line either way. The sulfur point is a good flag, didnt think about what happens when GSH and NAC start overlapping downstream. Going to cap the NAC at 600 and try glycine solo first for a few weeks before I add anything else to the stack.
