RU-58841 scalp irritation at week 4, anyone else dealing with this?

Been on topical RU-58841 daily for about 4 weeks now, 50mg/ml in a standard ethanol/propylene glycol mix. First 3 weeks were totally fine, no issues at all. Then around day 21-22 i started noticing the crown and temples getting itchy within like 30 min of applying, plus some flaking i didnt have before.
Its not horrible but its noticeable enough that im wondering if i should push through or take a few days off. No redness really, more of a tight/dry feeling and the itching comes and goes through the day.
Couple things im considering, should i dilute it down to like 35-40mg/ml for a bit, or is the vehicle itself the problem? Ive seen people mention swapping PG for glycerin or adding a bit of panthenol but idk if thats overkill. Also wondering if anyone had this hit them specifically in week 3-4 and if it calmed down or got worse the longer they stayed on it.
Ngl im a little paranoid about disrupting whatever progress might be happening. How long did you guys push through irritation before adjusting, and what actually helped?

- weekendnate: Week 3 to 4 is exactly when most people seem to hit it. For me the PG was the bigger culprit than the concentration. Diluting helps a little, but swapping to a lighter vehicle made way more difference than dropping from 50 to 40. What helped me was a 48 hour break, then restarting every other day for a week before going back to daily. The itching calmed down within a few days of the break and never really came back once I spaced out the applications. The flaking was just dry scalp, a regular sc
- grinder265: Yeah ngl that tracks with what i was suspecting, the vehicle makes more sense than the concentration since it just randomly showed up at week 3 when nothing changed on my end. The 48hr break then every other day restart is a solid approach, ill prob try that before i mess with the formula. Did you end up swapping PG entirely or just cutting it? And yeah im not gonna push through it, the itching isnt bad but i dont wanna turn it into something worse.
- miles_codes: Yeah this tracks with what I saw too. PG was the main irritant for me, not the RU itself. Cutting back to every other day for a week or so then ramping back up worked better than just diluting in the same vehicle. The scalp moisturizer on off days is a solid call, that fixed the flaking for me almost overnight.
- grinder265: Appreciate the feedback. Every other day for a week then ramp back up vs just diluting in the same vehicle, thats interesting. Did you keep the same 50mg/ml or did you cut the concentration when you restarted? Also the off day moisturizer, anything specific that worked for you or just a basic one.
