Goop piece on peptide stacking is mostly fluff but nails the terminology debate

Goop ran a piece on peptide stacking with an actual MD quoted, which is more than I expected from them honestly. The doc they got defines stacking as simultaneous use for synergistic or complementary effects, which is the cleanest framing I've seen in mainstream media. Most pop articles either oversell it as miracle work or treat it like some underground hack.

My take is the piece skips the hard part, which is timing and dose math across different half lives. Anyone running a real stack knows that throwing BPC, a GHRP, and a GH secretagogue together without thinking about receptor desensitization is asking for diminishing returns. Also no mention of bloodwork or cycling, which should be table stakes for any writeup like this.

Anyone else seeing more legit MDs willing to talk on the record about this stuff lately, or is it still mostly anon clinic owners?

  • tiredmira: Yeah the receptor desensitization point is basically the whole conversation in like three sentences and they skipped it 😅. When I tried overlapping a GHRP with a secretagogue the hunger sides actually got worse around week 3 and my sleep HRV tanked, so I dropped the secretagogue and just kept the GHRP on its own. Numbers went back to baseline within like 10 days. Could just be my own response but it tracks with what people report on desensitization. On the MD thing, I've noticed more teleheal
  • grinder265: Ngl the hunger thing is a real one, I had the same issue with GHRP-6 specifically, it was unmanageable for me even at lower amounts. GHRP-2 was more tolerable but I still felt the appetite creep after a few weeks. HRV dropping is interesting though, I never tracked that during my overlap phase, mostly just sleep quality subjectively. Did you notice the HRV dip before or after you felt the hunger ramp up? Trying to figure out if that was the GH pulse messing with parasympathetic tone or just tra
  • weekendnate: Yeah the hunger spike tracks with what I've seen too. GHRP-6 specifically would womp me around week 2 or 3 if I ran it more than 5 nights in a row, HRV would dip a few points and I'd feel flat by morning. Pulsing it harder than I wanted to was the only thing that kept the response decent long term. Curious what your secretagogue dose was when you pulled it. Lower secretagogue + steady GHRP tends to be what I default to now, but I know some people just rotate them instead of overlapping at all.
