CagriSema week 6 update, appetite suppression feels different from tirz alone

Been on tirz for about 8 months and stalled pretty hard around 14% loss. Switched to cagrisema about 6 weeks ago, started the standard titration (cagri 0.16 + sema 0.16 weekly, working up).
The thing that surprised me is how the hunger suppression feels. On tirz it was more of a constant "i just dont want food" blanket effect. On cagrisema the amylin piece seems to add this faster "i am full after a few bites" signal that kicks in during meals specifically. Like i can feel satiety arriving earlier, not just appetite being absent.
Side effects have been rougher tho, more nausea on shot day compared to tirz alone. Manageable but noticeable.
Tracking cals, protein, and bodyweight daily, plus weekly DEXA in a few weeks to see what is fat vs lean. The combo data suggests 20%+ is possible but i am trying not to anchor on that.
Anyone else running cagrisema and noticing the satiety timing difference vs plain GLP-1? Also curious how people are handling the nausea since it seems like the main complaint i keep seeing 🥲

- weekendnate: The satiety timing thing matches what i have seen people describe anecdotally. Tirz feels like a blanket dimmer on hunger, while the amylin piece adds that early meal signal you described. Makes sense mechanistically since amylin is doing a lot of its work in the meal window rather than baseline. For the nausea, splitting the dose over two days helped me more than dose reduction. Took the full amount split into a Friday evening and Saturday morning shot and the shot day nausea dropped noticeabl
- rachel61: Yeah the meal window thing makes sense, for what it is worth. I hadnt thought about amylin working that way but it tracks with how i hear people describe it. Splitting the dose is a good idea, i might try that. Did you find the second day shot hit you any harder or was it pretty even?
- tiredmira: Honestly the split was pretty even for me, maybe a tiny bit milder on day 2 but nothing I'd call meaningful. The bigger difference was just not having one brutal nausea window. Did you notice the earlier satiety thing right away or did it take a couple weeks to kick in for you?
- tiredmira: Interesting about the split dosing. I actually tried that informally last week because I was traveling and had to break it up. Seemed to help. Question for you, did splitting change how the satiety signal felt across the week? I worry that dividing it might make that meal-time fullness weaker on day two compared to one big hit.
