Retatrutide week 4, sleep HRV tanked but scale finally moving again

Okay so quick background, I stalled on tirz at around 14% lost and switched about a month ago. First two weeks on retatrutide were kinda uneventful, appetite suppression felt gentle compared to tirz honestly.

Then week 3 something shifted. Food noise basically gone, I am forgetting to eat which never happened on tirz 😅

But my Whoop data is weird. Resting HR up about 5 bpm, HRV dropped from a 65 baseline to like 48 the last few nights. Sleep score is trash.

The scale though, down 2.1 lbs this week after nothing for two weeks. So something is happening.

I am basically wondering if anyone else saw HRV tank early on retatrutide and if it bounced back. Trying to figure out if it is just titration stress or something I should actually worry about.

Hydration and electrolytes are solid, protein is around 130g, training 4x a week. Nothing changed except the new peptide.

Also for the stall breakers out there, switching did seem to do something where just pushing tirz higher was not. Sharing in case it helps someone considering a switch.

  • early_mito: Interesting that the scale finally moved but your whoop is yelling at you. When i switched protocols i noticed my sleep stuff got weird for a couple weeks too, but for me it settled down once my body got used to it. 5 bpm resting HR jump with HRV dropping that much at week 4 would make me pause though. Are you feeling it subjectively? Like wired at night or weird heartbeats? Because "tank" from 65 to 48 is a real shift on paper. Hydration and electrolytes being solid is good. What does your sl
  • tiredmira: Honestly subjectively I feel fine, which is why I am kinda confused about the numbers. Not wired, not noticing heartbeats, just sleeping through and apparently doing it badly according to Whoop. Resting HR bump is bugging me more than anything because that usually means I am getting sick or something and I am not. Sleep architecture looks like my deep sleep is way down and REM is okay, which is the opposite of what I would expect if it was just stress. Did your sleep stuff normalize on its own
  • tiredmira: Yeah 65 to 48 is a lot, that's what made me post honestly. I feel it too, kinda restless at night and waking up around 3-4am for no reason. No heart palps or anything scary, just wide awake for 20-30 min then back out. Sleep score last night was like 52% which is rough. Before retatrutide i was sitting around 78-82 consistently. So basically my recovery metrics all look bad even though the scale finally cooperated 🥲
