NA Selank Amidate, anyone else getting weird afternoon drowsiness around day 10?

Posting this here because it caught me off guard and I wanna know if it's just me.

I started NA Selank Amidate about 10 days ago, intranasal, low end of the usual range. The first week honestly felt great. Calmer baseline, no afternoon crash, sleep looked solid on my tracker.

Then around day 9 or 10 I started getting this foggy, heavy-eyed feeling around 3 to 4pm. Not sleepy exactly, more like my brain just refused to engage. I cut the second daily dose thinking that was it, but the next day it still showed up.

Couple things I'm tracking. Sleep duration has been normal, HRV is basically flat vs my baseline, and I'm not on anything new besides this. No dose change in the last few days either.

I'm wondering if this is a kind of mild overstimulation tipping into fatigue thing, or if my body is just adjusting. Has anyone else hit this wall mid-way through? How long did it last for you, and did splitting the dose differently help?

Bloodwork is scheduled for next month so I'll see if anything shows up there too 🥗

  • midwestsam: Honestly the mid cycle wall thing is something ive heard about anecdotally but i havent seen a solid mechanism for it. To be fair, selank amidate has the modified version with the longer half life so accumulation could matter, especially if youre dosing twice daily even at the low range. Did the foggy feeling show up on days you trained hard vs rest days? Cause for me when i ran a similar protocol, the crash feeling tracked more with training load than the dose itself. Also curious if youre sta
  • tiredmira: Honestly good catch on the accumulation angle, I hadn't thought about that since the half life is longer than regular selank. I'll skip the second dose for a few days and see if it clears. Most of my foggy days were actually rest days or light walk days, not heavy training. So training load doesn't seem to track for me here. No stack at all right now, just the selank. I take magnesium glycinate most nights but skipped it the last few days to rule out variables, and it didn't change anything. S
  • raj353: Yeah stacking could matter... I was taking magnesium glycinate at night already, plus some fish oil in the morning, nothing weird. Training question is a good call actually. I train m/w/f and the fog hit on what was a rest day if I remember right. Tuesday I think. But honestly I wasn't paying close enough attention to that, gonna log it next week and see if there's a pattern. The accumulation thing has me curious tho, you got any sense of how long the half life actually is on the amidate versi
