Titration speed on tirz, when did your appetite suppression actually kick in?

Ok so i have been tracking everything since i started, for what it is worth. I am currently on 5mg of tirz, week 3 of that dose, before that i did 4 weeks at 2.5mg. I kept waiting for the big appetite drop everyone talks about and it was honestly pretty mild until i hit the 5mg.

What i actually noticed on 2.5, the food noise got quieter around day 3 or 4 after my shot, like i could walk past the kitchen without it calling me, but i could still eat a normal dinner fine. Satiety was a little better but nothing crazy. I was logging calories and stayed around 1500 to 1800 without much struggle.

On 5mg, day 2 after the shot i just wasnt hungry for dinner, like at all. Had a protein shake at like 4pm and called it done, no real cravings all evening. That was new for me.

I am curious for anyone else on tirz, did the suppression ramp up gradually for you between doses, or did it kinda flip on once you hit a certain level? I keep wondering if i should hold at 5 for a full 8 weeks like i see recommended, or push to 7.5 sooner.

  • travis_ironman: Sounds a lot like my own ramp. 2.5 was basically a warmup for me, food noise got quieter but I could still finish a normal plate, the 5mg dose is where dinner started getting skipped without me planning to skip it πŸ“‹ I held 5 for the full 8 weeks and glad I did, partly because the appetite effect kept getting stronger across those weeks even at the same dose, and partly because going up too quick is what tanks people later when side effects catch up. The flip versus gradual question is a good o
  • recovery797: Yeah thats really helpful to hear, the week by week buildup on the same dose is something i hadnt really thought about. I was already eyeing 7.5 in another few weeks but maybe i should just ride out 5 longer. Did you notice anything in your tracking like HRV or sleep shifting as the appetite thing got stronger, or was it pretty much just food?
  • restless_vet: Yeah that tracks with what I have seen in the data too, the appetite effect really does stack across weeks at the same dose rather than hitting you on day one πŸ“ˆ Rushing up is basically asking for nausea to catch up with you.
