IGF-1 LR3 and the hypoglycemia thing, how careful are you actually being?

I've been digging into IGF-1 LR3 for a bit, reading through the profiles here and kinda sitting with the safety stuff before I even consider touching it. The hypoglycemia risk honestly stands out to me more than the joint or water retention talk. The profile lists it as a side effect and from what I've read the compound mimics insulin at the receptor, so dropping blood sugar fast seems like a real thing, not just a footnote.

For anyone who has used it, how did you handle that part in practice? Did you time it around meals, keep fast carbs nearby, monitor with a glucometer? I've heard people say post-workout with a meal is fine but I don't love just trusting that.

Also kinda related, the "potential organ growth concerns" line on the stack profile bugs me. If the IGF-1 axis is that strong, what does the actual safety picture look like for prolonged use, or is there even a real consensus? Curious what people who have run it longer term have noticed and whether bloodwork flagged anything unexpected.

  • nina_m: Yeah the blood sugar drop is no joke honestly, I learned that the hard way on my first run. I tried it fasted once and felt shaky and weird about 30 min in, kinda like that jittery low feeling you get when you skipped breakfast and then had coffee. From then on I always had it right after a meal with protein and some rice, and I kept a small juice box nearby just in case 🧠 For me the timing around food made a huge difference. I never messed with a glucometer though, so I can't speak to actual
  • elle_z: Nina_m that shaky feeling sounds awful, glad you figured it out fast 😅 i havent tried LR3 yet but im kinda sketched out by that insulin mimic thing now. Did the juice box actually come into play or was the meal timing enough on its own?
