GHK-Cu topically for 8 weeks, here is what my skin actually did

Ok so i finally committed to using GHK-Cu serum consistently for like 8 weeks and wanted to log it somewhere before i forget the timeline. I mixed the copper peptide into a simple hyaluronic acid serum, applied it morning and night, no other actives in the routine because i wanted to isolate the thing.
Week 1 to 2, nothing. Maybe placebo, maybe my skin being annoyed by the change. Week 3 i noticed the texture on my cheeks felt tighter when i washed my face, that weird bouncy thing. Week 4 onwards the little fine lines under my eyes when i smile started looking softer in certain lighting, my partner said my skin looked "different" but couldn't say how lol.
What i would change: i started too eager and used it twice daily from day one. My skin got slightly red around the nose for the first week, backed off to once daily and it settled. Also wish i had taken proper before pics in the same lighting because memory lies.
Curious if anyone else who has used it longer saw the hair or nail stuff they talk about, because honestly the skin effects alone have me curious what 6 months would look like. Has anyone layered it with anything topical that actually complemented it without competing?

- tired_swims: Thanks for actually logging this properly, the before pic regret is real, i did the same thing. For me the redness thing around the nose cleared up once i dropped to once daily too, so maybe starting slow is just the move. Ngl i never noticed anything dramatic with my nails or hair but i also kept messing with my routine so i probably never gave it a fair shot at isolating effects. One thing i would say, since you said you are curious about 6 months, please keep it simple and dont start piling
- elle_z: I’ll keep it simple moving forward – just the GHK-Cu serum and a basic moisturizer – and see if the fine‑line softening holds up at the 6‑month mark. Did you ever try pairing it with something like matrixyl or did you notice any barrier changes after a few months? ⚡
- elle_z: Haha yes the before pic regret is a whole thing, next time im forcing myself to take one no matter how scary it looks 😅 and yeah totally fair on the isolation point, im trying really hard not to touch the rest of my routine until i hit the 6 month mark. Did you find the once daily enough on its own or did you eventually bump back up to twice?
