Tirzepatide vs semaglutide, what your actual 12-week numbers looked like?

Curious what other people are seeing when they compare the two head to head. I ran sema for about 9 months, hit a wall around 14% down, and switched over to tirz to see if the dual agonist thing made a real difference beyond the marketing.

For me the first 8 weeks on tirz felt almost identical to sema at the same point. Appetite suppression was there but not dramatically different. Then somewhere around week 10 the food noise dropped in a way sema never did for me. Cravings went from maybe a 4 out of 10 to basically background static.

Side effect wise, tirz hit my stomach harder during the titration steps. The 7.5 mg jump wrecked me for about 4 days. Sema was gentler going up but the constipation never really went away.

Down about 9% in 12 weeks on tirz so far, which tracks with what I had read about the early curve being similar before it separates. HRV held steady through both, sleep actually improved once the appetite noise quieted down.

Anyone else notice the divergence happening later than the trials suggest? Wondering if it's a me thing or a pattern.

  • elle_z: Interesting that your experience was so close early on then split later, because my timeline looked almost flipped 😅 i went straight to tirz first, no sema background, and the food noise thing kicked in for me around week 3, not week 10. Same compounding-onto-itself feeling you're describing tho, like the first couple weeks were fine but then suddenly i was just... Not that bothered about food? Steady lah, hardest part was the 5mg step, felt gross for 3 days and then fine. Are you tracking any
  • weekendnate: Week 3 is way earlier than mine, interesting. I wonder if going straight in vs coming off sema changes the ramp somehow, or if I was just slower to titrate up. Yeah I keep a spreadsheet, HRV and sleep are in there every morning, plus a weekly average weight and a quick note on how bad the side effects got at each dose step. Nothing fancy, just consistent. Sleep actually dipped on the 7.5 jump and took about a week to settle back to baseline. Did your HRV move at all or stay flat through the rou
