Live Science takes a shot at unregulated peptides

This article from Live Science talks about how the US is basically hooked on these compounds and questions if they are even safe or effective. It mostly focuses on the lack of regulation and the risks of using things that are not FDA approved.

I am kinda torn on this one. I get the safety concerns because we are basically the guinea pigs here, but the article feels a bit alarmist. It ignores why people are doing this in the first place. Most of us are just trying to optimize our health or recover faster when the traditional options fail. It feels like they are just scratching the surface without looking at the actual data people are seeing.

I still have a lot of doubts about some of the claims I see online, but I think the risk is worth it if the research is solid. Do you guys think we will ever get a real regulatory body that monitors quality without just banning everything?
