Dihexa timing question for someone already on a morning stim stack

Ok so I've been running a nootropic stack for a few months now, semax intranasal in the AM plus a low dose of selank when I'm feeling wired, and I want to add dihexa oral. My main question is timing, because to be fair I'm not sure when to slot it in.

I've seen people say morning with food, I've seen people say empty stomach before bed because the half life is like 12 hours and they don't want stimulation carrying into sleep. For me the stim issue is real, semax already has me wired by 20 min in and I usually come down fine by evening but adding another cognitive on top has me worried.

I'm thinking maybe 10mg at like 2pm on an empty stomach? Gives the dihexa time to peak during work hours and hopefully wear off enough by bedtime. But I also wonder if splitting it 5mg morning 5mg afternoon makes more sense for steadier HGF signaling.

Anyone running it daily vs every other day and noticing a difference? And does food actually blunt absorption that much or is that just bro science.

  • researcher_daily806: I havent tried dihexa myself yet, so take this as just reading and thinking out loud. From what ive seen around here the stim thing varies a lot person to person, some folks sleep fine on it at night, others get wrecked even at low doses. Your 2pm empty stomach idea sounds reasonable on paper, but honestly if semax already has you fired up by morning im not sure adding a second cognitive on top is the move. I learned the hard way that stacking stims just because they "should" work together usua
  • leah_vo2max: The semax has been my baseline for like 8 months so dropping it cold turkey feels like losing the forest for the trees when I just wanna figure out timing, but to be fair the point about isolating variables is valid. I could probably just hold it for a few days and see how dihexa sits on its own first, you're right that I don't know what's doing what in the stack right now.
