RU-58841 scalp irritation after a few weeks, anyone else?

Been doing RU-58841 daily for about six weeks now, and around week three I started noticing some itchiness and a bit of flaking on the application areas. Nothing crazy, but enough that I scratched my head raw during a metcon last week and got a look from a member that I won't forget π
I'm using it in a standard topical vehicle, applying once a day after showering. To be fair, I might be the idiot here because I started going a little heavier on the concentration to "push it" faster, and I think that was a mistake. I've dialed it back and the irritation has calmed down some, but it's still there if I skip a day of washing my scalp properly.
Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm wondering if it's the compound itself, the vehicle (PG based), or just my scalp being sensitive after daily applications. Also curious if anyone has rotated days off to let the skin recover, and whether that affects results. π€

- scientist_honest506: Yeah I had something similar when I tried RU, mine was the PG vehicle more than the compound itself honestly. Itching and a small red patch right where I applied... It calmed down when I switched to a less aggressive base. For me the rotation actually helped, I did 5 days on, 2 off, and the irritation basically disappeared after like two weeks. Results still seemed to hold up, but that is just my experience so take it with a grain of salt. Going heavier on concentration to push results faster
- rational_fasted: Appreciate you sharing that, it lines up with what I was suspecting honestly. Switching the base is something I hadn't really thought about, I just grabbed whatever was the usual rec and ran with it. The 5 on 2 off rotation is interesting too, kinda like a skin cycling thing. I'm gonna try that starting this week and see if a different vehicle helps alongside it.
