CJC + Ipamorelin timing question, empty stomach or does it actually matter?

I've been running a low dose of CJC-1295 with ipamorelin for a few weeks now, nothing crazy, just experimenting with my sleep and recovery. My question is about timing because I've seen completely opposite advice floating around.

Some people swear you need to dose it on a truly empty stomach, like 30+ minutes before any food or even a protein shake, otherwise the pulse gets blunted. Others say they've eaten right before or after pinning and noticed no real difference in how they feel the next morning.

For me, I usually pin right before bed, which is usually 3+ hours after my last meal anyway, so I'm probably in the clear most nights. But on weekends if I have a late dinner I sometimes still dose at my normal time and I'm wondering if I'm just wasting it or if the effect is more forgiving than the forums make it sound.

Curious what others have noticed anecdotally, and if anyone has seen actual data on how much food, especially carbs or fats, blunts the GH pulse from these secretagogues. I know the ghrelin-mimetic ones like GHRP-6 are a different beast since hunger is the whole point, but for CJC/ipa combo I want to know if I'm overthinking the empty stomach thing 😎

  • humbledana: For me the empty stomach thing does seem to matter more than I expected. I pin CJC/ipa right before bed too, and I make a point of finishing my last real meal at least 2 hours before, no protein shake in between. The nights I got lazy and ate closer to dose time I felt noticeably less effect the next morning, a little groggier and my training recovery the next day seemed flatter. Could just be me noticing more because im watching for it though. I do wonder if carbs and fats blunt it differently

Going to be stricter about the 2-3 hour window on weekends and see if I notice the same thing you did with next-day training quality, anecdotally my mornings have been kinda hit or miss. The fat vs protein question is interesting tho, my late dinners tend to be pretty fat heavy so that might explain why I've felt off after those nights more than I realized.
