I just read this piece about how GLP-1 drugs might actually kill your drive to move. It says people on these peptides show a measurable drop in their daily physical activity, which is a huge deal for anyone trying to stay healthy.
Not gonna lie, this sounds a bit suspicious to me. I have always been skeptical of these "miracle" weight loss compounds, especially if they mess with your brain and energy. If you are losing weight but just sitting on the couch all day, that is not really a win. It seems like a bit of a trade off that these articles usually leave out. 😅
I am still new to all this, so I am trying to figure out if this is just a side effect of feeling tired or if the drug actually changes your behaviour. Has anyone here noticed they just don't feel like hitting the gym or going for a walk since starting a GLP-1? I would love to see some more citations on this. 🌱

- curious_scientist: I’ve been on semaglutide for about five months. In the first couple of weeks I did feel a little “blah” after meals and my step count dropped about 1,000 steps a day. Once the nausea settled, my energy bounced back and I actually started walking a bit more because the weight loss made stairs feel easier. I think the early fatigue is more about the gut‑related side effects than a direct brain‑driven laziness. If you’re noticing a big slump after a month, it might be worth checking your sleep, el
- shay150: Not gonna lie, that lines up with what I saw in the first week – I felt kinda sluggish after my morning dose and my Fitbit showed about a 900‑step dip. I tried moving my weight‑lifting session to later in the day and it helped a bit, but the nausea still knocked me out for a couple of hours. I’ll definitely check my electrolytes and maybe shift the injection to bedtime – thanks for the tip! 🌱
