NA-Semax Amidate timing around long run days, anyone split dosing AM and pre-workout?

Been running NA-Semax Amidate for about 6 weeks now, single morning dose right when i wake up. Focus is cleaner, less of that mid afternoon dip i used to get. But on my bigger training days (anything 90+ min, lots of vertical) i feel like the second half of the run goes foggy, like the cognitive side is wearing off mid effort.

So im wondering if anyone splits it AM and a smaller dose like 60-90 min before a long run. The half life is supposedly longer than base semax but i cant tell if that actually translates to all day coverage or if im just imagining the timing. Curious if anyone else has played with this on training heavy days vs rest days.

Also ngl the nasal irritation is real, been rotating nostrils and using saline after. Not a dealbreaker just annoying. For me the focus upside has been worth it but i wanna see if a split dose gets me through those 3 hour blocks without the brain fog creeping in.

  • reads_mito: Honestly splitting it made a real difference for me on my long trail days. I was doing the same single AM thing and yeah by hour 2 out i could feel my brain just kinda checking out. I dropped to about a third of my morning dose like 60 min before i started and the fog never showed up the same way. Whether that's pharmacokinetics or just me feeling like i did something, who knows, but it worked for me. The nasal thing got better after week 3 or so for whatever reason, or maybe i just stopped not
  • grinder265: Yeah the third dose trick makes sense honestly. I think part of my issue is im still titrating so my morning dose isnt maxed out yet, which probably makes the second half dip more obvious on long days. Ill try a small pre-run dose next weekend and see how it tracks. Ngl the nasal thing i kinda hope i just stop noticing like you did. Been on week 6 and its still there every morning, not worse just persistent. Saline after is non negotiable at this point. Curious what your split ratio ended up b
  • restless_squats: Yeah the saline rinse thing is underrated, did that myself and the crusty nose cleared up way faster, no idea why clinics never mention it haha. On the split dosing though, can i ask how you landed on "a third" of the morning dose, was that trial and error or did you find any actual pharmacokinetic data on amidate specifically to back the timing? I keep seeing people cite half-lives but the sources are all over the place 😅
  • grinder265: Haha ngl the saline thing i kinda stumbled into, was getting annoyed enough to try anything. And yeah fair question, the "third" was just trial and error on my end. I started lower to be safe since im redosing into a training session, not just splitting for focus. Cant point to a real PK paper on the amidate ester, most of what i see is base semax data extrapolated over.
