Lipid panel nosedive on low-dose oral cycle, anyone else see this pattern

Ran a short low dose oral cycle recently and pulled bloods midway through. Ngl the lipid shift was worse than I expected for the dose. HDL tanked hard and LDL crept up. Already not great genetics for cholesterol so this got my attention fast.

I know orals are rough on lipids in general but the magnitude surprised me. Im talking a notable HDL drop in like 5 weeks on a mild dose. Diet was clean, fish oil daily, cardio was solid too which is usually my buffer.

Anyone else seeing this kind of crash on gentler orals specifically or am I just unlucky with baseline. Curious if CoQ10 or higher dose omega dosing actually moves the needle or if its mostly a wait it out situation after stopping.

Also how long are people seeing HDL bounce back post cycle. Last bloods after stopping took a few months to normalize but the rebound felt slower than the crash itself.

Fish oil and cardio didn't really save me either, which was annoying. CoQ10 didn't seem to do much for the numbers but I have no clue if it was helping behind the scenes. For me HDL took around 10-12 weeks to crawl back to baseline, and LDL was the last thing to settle. The rebound was definitely slower than the drop imo, which matches what you saw. Curious what your fasti
  • steph544: Yeah the rebound timeline matches what I've seen anecdotally too, LDL was the stubborn one for me even after numbers started improving. Fasting was actually pretty tight, 12-14 hrs most days, so I dont think that was the main driver here... 🧪
