NSI-189 headache, anyone else? Trying to figure out if it tapers off

Hi all. I started nsi-189 a couple weeks ago, going low at first just to see how i tolerate it. For what it is worth, i have a pharmacology background but i am pretty new to actually using this stuff myself, so bear with me.

The main thing i am dealing with is a persistent dull headache, mostly frontal, that shows up a few hours after my dose and kind of lingers into the evening. It is not awful, more annoying than anything, but i notice it. Sleep also feels a little off, not full insomnia, just lighter and more wakeful than usual.

I have read the profile here on nsi-189 and headache plus insomnia are listed, so i am not surprised. What i want to know from people who have actually used it, did this settle down for you after a week or two, or did it stick around the whole run? And did dropping the dose help, or was it more about timing or splitting it?

I am not chasing miracles, just trying to figure out if this is a "push through the first two weeks" thing or a sign i should reconsider. Bloodwork and bp are normal for me, no other changes to my stack that would explain it.

  • tired_vet110: Yeah the headache thing is super common with nsi-189, i got it too when i first started. Mine was right behind my eyes and showed up maybe an hour or two after dosing, kind of a dull pressure feeling. For me it did taper off but it took longer than i expected, probably close to three weeks before it fully went away. Splitting the dose helped a little, i ended up doing half in the morning and half early afternoon instead of all at once. Taking it with food seemed to matter too, on an empty stoma
  • chloe345: Yeah splitting the dose helped me too. I did morning and early afternoon like you said, and keeping it away from evenings seemed to settle the wired-but-tired thing. The headache faded around week three for me as well.
  • engineer_dana: Splitting was kind of where i was leaning. How many mg were you doing in the morning vs the afternoon, if you do not mind sharing? I have been going pretty low to start, so i have room to play with timing without moving the total much.
  • engineer_dana: Thanks, that is really helpful. Three weeks is longer than i was hoping but good to know what i am in for. I have been taking it on an empty stomach so i will try with food and see if that takes the edge off. Did splitting actually help the sleep part too, or just the headache? Mine feels more like a wired-tired thing, exactly how you described it.
