My first 6 weeks on oral Orforglipron – dose tweaks, nausea and step dip

I started an oral GLP‑1 a month ago after reading about Orforglipron’s oral bioavailability. My baseline weight was 185 lb, HRV around 55 ms and I was averaging 8000 steps a day. I began at 12 mg once daily for the first week to see how my gut handled it.

Day 3 I got mild nausea after dinner, but it cleared by morning. I bumped to 24 mg on day 8 and the nausea got a bit stronger – one evening I threw up after a big salad. I cut back to 18 mg for a couple of days, the vomiting stopped, and I kept the dose at 18 mg for the next two weeks.

During that period my appetite dropped by about 30 % and I lost 4 lb, but my daily steps slipped to ~6200. I’ve been tracking sleep and my REM fraction fell a bit, maybe from the lower calorie intake. I’m curious if anyone else sees a step dip with oral GLP‑1s and how you managed the nausea without quitting the dose. Any tips on timing meals or using ginger tea would be appreciated.
