Pancragen on the bioregulator list, anyone tried it or is it all theory?

Right so I've been going down a bit of a rabbit hole on these Khavinson bioregulator peptides (the short synthetic ones, not the bigger GH-type stuff) and Pancragen keeps popping up because it's supposedly for pancreatic support and carb metabolism. The profile on here describes it as a Lys-Glu-Asp-Trp tetrapeptide that allegedly regulates gene expression in pancreatic tissue, taken as 1-2 capsules a day or short injectable courses.
Before I write it off as too fringe, has anyone here actually used it and noticed anything real? Like changes in fasting glucose, digestion, how you feel after a heavy carb meal, that sort of thing. I'm not expecting miracles, I just want to know if it's genuinely worth the experiment or if it's one of those things where the only "evidence" is Russian gerontology papers from the 90s.
Also a bit confused on the protocol side, are these meant to be run continuously or in short cycles like some of the other bioregulators mention (the 10-12 day on, repeat thing). If anyone has a sensible read on the dosing pattern I'd take it.

- runner_aaron: Haven't run Pancragen myself, but I've looked into the Khavinson stuff a fair bit and honestly the evidence base is thin. Most of what's out there is in Russian and hard to verify, and the mechanism (gene expression regulation in pancreatic tissue) is interesting on paper but not the same as proven clinical effect. For dosing, the bioregulator pattern is usually short courses, 10 to 12 days on, then off, then repeat. That's how the original protocols were described. Continuous use isn't really
- fasted_scientist: Yeah that lines up with what I've found too, the Russian literature thing is a real headache because unless you read it natively you basically have to take it on faith or wait for someone to translate it properly. I get the theory of short courses rather than continuous use (gives the cells a break to do whatever the peptide triggered) but ngl I was hoping someone had hard numbers on fasting glucose because that's the easiest thing to actually measure. I got curious and tried pulling some of the original Khavinson papers and most are behind paywalls or only indexed in weird databases. The 10-12 day on/off cycle pattern does show up across multiple bioregulators tho, so at least that part is consistent. For tracking, fasting glucose + post-meal is smart. I'd add a continuous glucose monitor if you can get one for a few weeks, way more useful than single readings 😅
- fasted_scientist: Cheers, that's a fair point on the paywall thing, ngl most of the Khavinson stuff I've found is either translations on some dodgy site or just abstracts. The 10-12 day pattern being consistent across the class is at least something, even if the actual effect sizes are buried behind a £30 paywall I can't justify for a "maybe".
