NA Selank nasal spray, dry nose and weird sinus pressure after week 2

Ngl kinda surprised this is the thing thats been bugging me. Been running NA Selank intranasal for about 2 weeks now, split into 2 sprays a day, around 300 mcg total. The anxiolytic effect is real for me, calmer mornings and less pre race brain, no sedation which i was worried about.
The issue is the nasal side. First few days felt fine, then around day 8 i started getting this dry almost burning sensation in my left nostril where i do my first spray. Couple days after that i noticed mild sinus pressure, kinda like the start of a cold that never actually shows up. No drainage, no infection signs, just tightness when i breathe in cold air.
I know nasal irritation is listed as the main side effect but im wondering if anyone else has had it drag on past the first week instead of resolving. Also curious if its the carrier in the spray vs the peptide itself. Been rotating nostrils and using saline rinse at night, helps a little but not fully gone.
Is this the kind of thing that settles if i push through another week, or am i better off dropping it. Bloodwork isnt really relevant here since its topical nasal, but if anyone has pushed past similar symptoms lmk how it went.

- weekendnate: Yeah, the intranasal stuff can be rough on the mucosa, especially once you stack daily doses. Day 8 sounds about right for when the irritation shows up, the early tolerance phase tends to hide it for a bit. For me the burning always traced back to the carrier more than the peptide itself. Switching to a simpler vehicle (less propylene glycol, no preservatives) cleared it up within a few days. Buffered saline rinse before spraying helped too, not just after. I also found that micro-dosing the sp
- grinder265: Appreciate that, the carrier theory tracks with what i was suspecting. Buffered saline rinse BEFORE is something i havent tried, ive only been doing it after. Gonna order some preservative free saline and see if that helps. The micro dose approach is smart too, didnt think about splitting it into smaller puffs. Question tho, did the irritation fully resolve for you or did it just get manageable. Trying to figure out if this is a push through thing or a bail situation.
- tiredmira: Interesting, the carrier angle is something I hadn't really considered. I just assumed it was the peptide irritating things. Quick question on the saline rinse, are you doing that right before you spray or like a few minutes out? And how much are you reducing the PG in your vehicle, roughly? For me the simplest fix that helped was alternating nostrils daily, so neither side gets hit twice in a row. Basically just spreading the load 😅
- grinder265: Yeah good call on the carrier, honestly i think thats most of it. I went from like 20% PG down to around 8-10% and the burning dropped a lot, still some dryness but not that hot razor feeling anymore. For the saline i do it like 15-20 min before the spray, not right before, and then nothing else in the nose for at least an hour after. Daily nostril rotation is smart, i was doing sprays back to back in the same side some mornings out of habit, prob not helping.
