The NPR piece covers the FDA advisory committee vote on whether to ease restrictions on seven peptides that a lot of people in this space are already using through compounding. It's worth reading because the list itself tells you which compounds the panel thinks have enough evidence to even be considered, and a couple of the omissions are just as interesting as what made the cut.

My take is that this is overdue. The current situation where everyone is sourcing from random online vendors with zero quality control is the actual safety problem, not the peptides themselves. If a legit pharmacy can compound something under proper oversight, that beats me trusting a vial with a scribbled COA from a Telegram group. I'm skeptical it will move the needle on access soon though. The panel can recommend, but the FDA moving on compounding rules is a separate, slower fight. Curious which of the seven people here are most watching and why.
