Oral BPC-157 arginate vs injectable for a cranky Achilles, is the oral actually doing anything

Achilles has been nagging me for like 3 months, finally getting smarter about loading it but I keep going back and forth on the BPC route. Injectable works, no question, but I travel for races and carrying pins across borders is a headache I dont need.
So I picked up the arginate salt oral from the peptide pages here, /peptides/bpc-157-oral, and have been on 500mcg twice a day for about 5 weeks now. Gut feels calmer, which is cool, but the tendon itself? Hard to say. Could just be the eccentric work finally paying off.
Ngl the bioavailability footnote on that page has me skeptical, half life around 4 hours with lower absorption means Im probably getting a fraction of what an injection delivers. For anyone who ran oral BPC for a legit tendon thing and not just gut stuff, how long before you noticed something that wasnt placebo? And did you bump to 1mg or stay at 500mcg BID?
Also curious if anyone stacked the oral with something local like LL-37 on the skin surface near the tendon, that wound healing angle keeps coming up in my reading.

- patient_codes: For me the oral never moved the needle on tendons, like you I did feel it in my gut pretty quick but the actual tissue stuff felt like I was waiting on the eccentrics to do the real work. I ran 500 twice a day for almost two months before giving up and going back to pinning, and within a few weeks of that the difference was obvious to me. The half life footnote you mentioned is basically what made me suspicious too, 4 hours with low absorption just felt like I was wasting product on something t
- grinder265: Yeah that matches what I was feeling honestly. Two months at 500 BID and youre saying pinning still beat it, so the absorption gap is probably wider than the numbers on paper. Im gonna finish out week 6 then probably go back to subcutaneous near the insertion point and call it. Did you pin daily or every other day when you switched back, and did you bother with anything topical alongside it or just the pin alone?
