EU report flags supplement problems again, same pattern of what's actually inside vs the label

Food Safety News ran a piece on the EU's latest annual report of suspected non-compliance cases, and supplements are basically dominating the list again. Almost 30 of the flagged cases involved products from the US, which tells you something about how loose things still are across the pond.
The part that bugs me is how predictable this is at this point. Every year the same story plays out, novel ingredients, banned substances, mismatches between label and what's actually in the product. For anyone using research compounds alongside whatever they grab off a shelf, this is the kind of thing that should make you paranoid in a healthy way.
Has anyone here actually sent their supplements out for third party testing, and if so did anything surprise you? π

Confirmed my paranoia lol. The thing people dont think about is how this gets way more dangerous when you're stacking alongside research compounds. If your baseline supp is already mislabeled, you have no clue what your actual exposure profile looks like, especially for stuff hitting the same pathways. Real que

One of my go to supps came back with more of the active than what the label said, which on paper sounds "good" but when you are tracking bloodwork and trying to correlate it gets confusing real fast. The stacking point is basically what worries me too. Even with research stuff you have a rough idea of the dose, mix in a mystery baseline and your whole
