The article talks about how the FDA just greenlit the first peptide pills for obesity and plaque psoriasis, which is honestly a bigger deal than most people realize. Pills that act like injectables could change compliance for a lot of patients who hate needles.
My take is that the molecule is only half the story, the delivery tech is where the real work is. Stomach acid and gut lining chew up most peptides before they do anything, so any company saying they cracked that without showing real bioavailability data is just fundraising. I'd want to see the actual pharmacokinetic numbers before I get excited.
